FLG these items at 70% are very few, think the Edwins I copped at £40 were maybe 1-2 in stock in my size, but would of sold loads at full price and would of of paid Edwin back the trade amount ages ago, so anything after that is a profit, all it will do is lower their margins.
FLG if you go places like Liverpool, people happily buying items at full price. Waiting for the 70% reduction is very much a cat and mouse game, Majors like UO can take the hit but it the indies that sadly cant.

i get it. it has a different image and look to other high street stores, they wouldnt continue to keep stocking them if they did that badly. thats such a dumb point, proper incomparable, as if the 'type' of person thats gonna spend say £250 on a garbstore parka they like will wait til the end of the season even though they want a new jacket and keep checking back each week to see if its gone down another £40, knowing theres only 2 or so in their size left. your talking about a BBB customer type, a fair amount of the stock must sell full price in their out of london stores otherwise they just wouldnt stock it??
as for the brands being harmed, see a fair few online stores and physical stores with similar reductions
