You'll need to get some crimping scissors to replicate those hems aitch.

Coated jeans usually look awful IMO. Acne Max Cash are OK, but they don't really look coated, they just feel it

I think there is a fine line. There are various Acne jeans I've found online that are coated but it feels like you really need to see them in the flesh to see whether they are alright. I think only black would work too. I've had a pair of max cash before and I agree, they don't really have anything distinguishable about their look, though they are nice enough.
These ones look/sound interesting:

…as to whether they look any good is another matter. Plus can't seem to find anywhere that stocks them. Cut may be a bit too slim anyway. Some of the Neil Barrett ones look good online too but to blow that amount of money on something that may look shit is a bit of a risk - returns I suppose.
Looking for some shiney/waxy/coated slim jeans - think Bill did a WAYWT not long ago with the kind of thing I'm talking about. Not looking to spend a fortune so something like Acne or APC would be good or anything along that kind of price range… anything out there? Also, not really sure what's the best term to search of when trying to look myself…
Yeah the Nudie coated ones are decent (with none of that awful orange stitching) and develop an almost leathery appearance over time. They used to do them in a range of fits but I believe the only ones available now are Thin Finns and Slim Jims.
Acne's Max Cash is probably my favourite black denim ever. It has a someowhat coated look but with the Nudies it is more apparent.

Cheers guys… yeah, with a bit more digging I figured 'coated' was the phrase I was looking for. Found a few decent looking pairs. I'll look at the nudies but I'll admit to not really being a fan of the brand. Found some nice NB ones which I'm tempted by, though I don't know how great his denim is…
