IWC Portuguese wears big - no bezel. Gorgeous though. Better in the metal than on the internet

Sub.. classic. unfortunate that many people see it and automatically think wanker. Sweet watch, looks great on a nato strap. The DLC'd one Milspex posted is pretty nice. Saw on another forum a guy who had had a daytona PVD'd privately. looked awesome.

Seadweller.. Cool a watch i will one day own (when i have the moolah), ahrdcore version of sub, no cyclops, it's an absolute unit though

Don't like daytonas that much personally. Agree they are cool, and rare, but wouldn't wear one.

just threw me a bit mate….never ever heard that said before, a sub is a beauty of an entry level rolex, and rolex is one of the most iconic and famous brands in the world…cant ever imagine anyone seeing a sub on a bloke or bird and thinking wanker.
you sure you didnt just make that up in your own head and out it into type. Laughing out loud

Must admit, nothing concrete. I like them personally, and those in the know will.. know. I do believe that the rolex name puts some people off, bit like BMWs. I don't believe the sentiment myself.

Yeah, I know some people really into their watches, and post on a watch forum. Went to a meet when I was in Bristol and it came up, along with a couple vintage rollies (GMT Master & a gorgeous sub) and a few more recent ones. anyway it came up and some of them thought the same - some people see it as an overt attempt at a status symbol.

should have gone for some rather than many in my original post.

In fairness, fuck 'em is the appropriate attitude imo. they dont know you and shouldnt be making a judgement. it wouldnt put me off if I had the cash.

also didnt realise when you edit a post it moves it to the end. my bad.

if youre going for a classic go for the 45mm classic fusion imo (think its still down on the website as big bang classic but theyve changed the name in past week or 2). all blacks good. tried one on in marcus a few weeks ago but just doesnt have the presence of the big bang.
