Someone posted a link there a while back of a site selling hand polished mechnical same as expensive swiss watch movements that were very cheap. What was the name again cause I forgot to bookmark it.

No they weren't fake watches, it was just a guy who was building his own watches and not taking an unhealthy profit. Something of London I think.

Found the site finally, Christopher Ward watches.
He makes them himself using the same movements used in Cartier, Breitling and IWC watches.
Think its the same production process as a 2K watch but for 150 quid.
Don't wear a watch but I like the idea of what he does.

What are peoples opinions on rolex's here? Just been having a quick browse on their website and most of them seem too gordy. (no topper)

rolex is the ultimate im a man about town whhos got a few qyid kettle go for a gmt II, or a submariner or an explorer …all around 2 grand…get a second hand one from www.watchfinder.co.uk…its better value that way, and they clean and service them into brand new status for you anyway.

I've got a fascination with Cartier but I like Rolex and Breitling. They're definately more masculine watches. Funny how a lot of famous women wear a mens rolex. I think I opted for a Cartier because of the roman numerals and it was a bigger piece of metal.

I have one (marine type professional) - great everyday watch and smart enough for black tie.

purchased from essentialwatches (see further up this thread).
