Good choice on the Explorer, nice looking watch. As I'm sure you know it's harder to get a decent discount on stainless/sports models but I would think if you are buying a couple at the same time they should be able to do something better than that for you.

I would ring around the big chain jewellers in London (presuming that's where you are based) and say you are ready to move on an Explorer and Datejust and you want their best price for the pair, then shop around for the best price.
