Always wanted a PK, ended up with a tricked out Peugeot and then finally got a Redline.

Hardly ever post here but been lurking for a good few years, interesting to read about how Russ grew up, kind of similar to mine except being up in Aberdeen was more like the boonies than Leeds.
Would say most people growing up then would be interested in fashion as it was basically normal then to be into football, raves then back to football although things did change a lot quicker than they do now.
BMX i had a white mag burner straight from mums littlewoods clubby book…..

@russ74 I was born in 1974 (40 years ago) I don't remember much of the 70s but I had some good times growing up. When I was 12 I distinctly remember chuckin rocks at a tree and climbing up on top of a pile of dirt and running down the other side. It was the time of my life. Kids these days will never have these kinds of life experiences that I had. It taught me that trees suck and "what goes up, must come down". And dirt sucks. When I was a teenager I had acne all over my body and was way skinnier than I am now, I sucked at sports and was slow at school. I used to get punched in the guts a lot and for 6 years of high school I would wait all day until I got home to take a piss because I was shitscared of getting bashed in the toilets. In summer break I started to get into chucking sticks. Once I hit a bird, but it flew away. I spent most of the 90s watching TV and chucking stuff. I was really into my parents 12 casette music collection. From bee gees to abba, their musical taste was so knowledgable and deep, it really formed my hatred of Sweden in later years. Then my parents kicked me out and I spent 8 years surviving on paper runs while I got my degree. I got laid approximately once every 24 months which compared to high school was doing pretty good I figured. Once at the beach a rich japanese kid with a rolex kicked sand in my face, from that point on I wanted to be a rich japanese kid with a rolex. I studied, I researched, I spent all my money on a rolex and japanese clothes, I got straight hair perms and at age 34 I was reborn as the guy who looked kinda japanese from a distance at night and behind. what makes you think I give a flying fuck what a loser drug addict did, and why you think it would have any outcome on what rolex I buy is beond me. just saying..

Don't worry Rusty, you're cooler than me and cooler than everyone here. You've justified that by your post about your awesome life.

Anyone recommend nice watch boxes to store 4/6 watches without me having to go down the smythson or similar route?

My uncle had a McQueen Explorer II like the one in that pic - pretty sure they are rare because they weren't out for that long (comparatively) due to the fact they weren't that popular at the time of release. Uncle died a few years ago and now my piece of shit cousin has it, but wants to get rid of it to buy a Tag. CSB

Sounds about the right sort of money - http://www.chrono24.com/en/rolex/explorer-ii-steve-mcqueen-vintage-steel-watch-1655–id2886401.htm - good deal on this one possibly, but to be honest it's not a watch I know a lot about.
