Thoughts on pre-owned Sub (from Iconic Watches) but no original papers & non-Rolex service papers?? Safe to go for? Anything else need to consider?

A bit out of touch but think that's a pretty good price these days - the guarantee is provided by Iconic, but I'm assuming the service papers from 2012 are Rolex. I wouldn't be put off by no box/papers (I have a Sub without both) provided it is from a reputable source.

Edit - just read it properly and seen the service wasn't by Rolex - worth enquiring as to who did it and what exactly was done.

Sad Get some viagra or might be as simple as not stroking it fast enough, dropping that heavy ass watch might do the trick for proper quick S.E.A.L handjob?

Unfortunately they do not use oyster case anymore.
I was tempted by the blue one when it released but the case looks cheap compared to the vintage ones.

However the gilt dial / tropic plexi / red triangle combo is really appealing.

Looks great and half (?) the price of the cheapest sub. Probably be 'rarer' in terms of wrist spots as well. Still not sure anyone with a budget for a sub would choose this but can see it being bought as a holdover and actually kept.

Don't get this "it's new. but looks old" If you want vintage, get vintage?

I reckon it's going to be quite nice in the hand especially if it's as matt as the pic with the black strap. If it's cheap in the UK it's a smart daily beater.

Love it, obviously it's a pastiche of various models but it's done very well and in modern material which will take hard wear

Like Dee says it's the perfect daily watch

Yay or nay or should I go for the '57 broad arrow vintage?
http://www.iconicwatches.co.uk/omega-speedmaster-57-co-axial-chronograph-331-10-42-51-01-002.html

Also, asked about Iconic Watches. Broker said they erase the serial numbers off the watch so they often get rejected at service time by Omega/Rolex. Anybody heard of this before?

A friend of mine bought an AP from Iconic and it developed a fault - had to take it to Wempe and had no issues. All fine now,
email Iconic and ask them to be 100%
