Hodinkee is slowly getting stuck up its own arse. The articles they are putting out on some watches are ridiculous. Feels like they are pushing hype where there is none.

Daytona has too much crap on it for my liking, a busy looking watch.

Call me a philistine but I have no idea what he's on about.

"I got it, put it on, and immediately just started owning it."

Shut up

You are living in another world when you get one the first new models handed to you for nothing and then you compare the watch to an iphone software update, but he is massive in the USA (played Jackos funeral) and extremely talented so going to give you an ego.

A lot of guitarists ( the ones who love a good solo) are arrogant penarses. One of the main reasons punk happened….thank fuck.

Clearly he was in the first group of people to get one, but the way he talks about the rarity is nonsense.

People from the UK were posting up theirs as 'last purchases' on various forums in the last week, purely by putting their names down with a dealer.

Bird wants a gold watch for her birthday. I really like this 70s Omega and it would definitely compliment her style.

Anything I should know about vintage watches like these? Is it gonna be shit?

What else should I be looking at for around 300 sheets? New or used.

Does anyone know of a stockist of a Rolex GMT BLNR? Waiting list's all over the place for it for some reason.

Looking at picking up a new watch soon, probably a Datejust.

36mm is ideal for me - need something that can slide under a shirt cuff easily and I've got relatively slight wrists. 41mm is just too imposing for my personal preference.

Was looking at either the 16220 or the 16234. Siding with the 16234 as I think I'm more a fan of the WG fluted bezel as opposed to the engine turned.

Any datejust owners got any comments on the watch in general?
