I don't see a problem with the kerning on that logo which wasn't made by me or pictures of wedding stationery from a collisions book of 20 years ago. Not sure why you felt compelled to google a company I work at over a comment on watches, you must have been mad.

Just reconfirmed to myself that I don't need to worry about your criticism, Martyn.

It's all good.

It was my opinion on a watch brand, something you decided to make a personal vendetta about because you got butt hurt by it, maybe you need to worry, your prospective wife won't like that.

Do you own a CW watch? I only ask as I didn't see you wearing it in your last 5 WAYWT's…

I think if you read back you'll see the personal vendetta was started by you. You entered a discussion between myself, Jordan and gawk. You have a problem with me, that's obvious.

Pm me if you want to discuss further, Martyn.

I didn't realise your discussion about watches in the watch topic on a public forum with gawk and Jordan was private. You shouldn't have disclosed personal information if you didn't want it commented on. The whole world isn't going to like what you write and give kudos for designing a logo that is 11 characters long in a sans serif typeface. To then retort with harassment isn't appropriate.

I don't have a problem with you at all, a misunderstanding on your part. I don't like the name Christopher Ward and how it relates to a watch brand.

Anyone got a JLC ultra thin of any type? Just bought one, makes a noise when the counterweight inside the mech swings in 1 direction. Realise this is normal for an automatic, but it seems like it is loud. It is audible when i move my hand about in quiet rooms for example. Also kind of rattles when i tap it. If it is normal, it is gonna drive me mad I think.

The above IWC was definitely the best iteration of that particular model. Especially the all black version.

just jumping back a page or so, I was going to write a short summary as to why I don't like Christopher Ward (the name, the logo(s), their marketing and their constant DFS-esque sales) but this thread pretty much nails it

that's their only watch (i think?) with the new branding.

this is the watch i copped, in the smaller 38mm case. I think he'll be more than happy.

They're working on a new movement which will help make the new watches slimmer. Which means new cases etc. Every watch is having a facelift.

I've been looking at the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref 116000 Japanese Limited Edition with black dial and white indexes.

Only place I've seen them unsurprisingly is on Rakuten. I don't suppose anyone has seen it for sale anywhere else? I'm flittering between this and the Rolex Explorer 1 after having a change of heart about 36mm watches.

Go used, the branding on the inside of the bezel is so gross

You don't ever notice the rehaut IRL, ever. It's worth going new for the bracelet alone.

Rirawin, I don't understand, the Explorer 1 is 39mm and the Oyster Perpetual is 36mm, right? I'd be tempted by the former myself, the latest model is pretty good. Also the Arabic numerals on the OP are a bit too skinny and off compared with the Explorer.

I was thinking the older model of the Explorer 1 that's 36mm. I do like the new Explorer 1 as mentioned previously in this thread. However, the 36mm version seems like it can get away being a dress watch more when we're wanting to blur the lines between sports and dress watches.
