Anyone used xupes? Seem to have fairly decent pricing on an explorer 1

Ye to be fair that is loads. One on Chrono24 for a grand less. Tempted to buy that one now. Think they are going to become rarer over the next few years. Classic too.

Sold it, poss on here, was offered it back too and regret not buying it back. Bienne resto circa 1976, great watches, sit much nicer on the wrist than the bigger SHOM 200 version. Bonus if you can find one with the original tritium bezel, perfect on an isofrane strap. What's the current price on a resto model?

The Mk1 ploprofs are good too:

Im currently in between a rock and a hard place. I was offered a Bienne serviced NOS with provenance and info Omega at 1800 a little time ago. Basically the guy has disappear from TZ and hasn't replied to my probe if he still has it. Had just bought a car!

Anyhow, I've got another Watchco offer with a service from a guy popular on Pistonheads. It's obviously mint condition but unsure on the quality of the rebuild. That's 1450.

Your pics always crop up when I'm trawling through forum threads looking for one. That full sleeve tattoo is a giveaway.

He predicts about 20 ideas pre Basel then makes a massive big deal out of it when 1 hits the bullseye the ceramic daytona for example, every other thing he posted didn't come out.

With regards to cost alone, if there was a time to buy Panerai then now would be a good time.

Brexit is one thing but they've been fitting some pretty poor quality movements in watches over the last 3/4 years and I think this is catching up with them. I think there was also a video leaked of the CEO joking about their quality yet still being able to push the margins up 30% with people still buying. Things seem to have moved back in terms of more classical watches (see the rise in speedmaster, seamaster and less so the sub) of late.

Panerai, in comparison to those, runs more of a fashion watch. I like them but a lot of my friends that would buy Panerais and more so get into that 300quid strap game have binned it and moved to vintage Heuer and Rolex for a while now.
