Blue face yachtmaster 2 with platinum bezel is a lovely sports dress watch, although less popular / sellable and probably 8.5k new.

Money no object I'd take a white gold Daytona, 15-17k barely used few years old and after the rolex service look as new. New steel version with cerachrome bezel is more practical, cheaper and classic and sadly unobtainable for retail for a good few years.

That looks Cool
Think I actually prefer the non-date subs, do they appreciate well? Or not so much compared to the date subs?

Not sure the appreciate unless vintage but defo hold their own, I bought a new 114060 recently. Wanted a 1974 sub but couldn't find one for less than 8k. New ones are £5450 less the deal you get.

Any suggestion for a cheaper version of the Submariner?
I remember someone selling a watch on Classifieds, very similar to the Sub (with even a cleaner aestethic - no logo on the watch cover…) but unfortunately I cannot find any further info.

Cheers.

Is it an homage watch you are looking for? Try Steinhart. I can't comment on quality etc though.

Ok, got it, I remember it was a sterile submariner.
Sorry guys, not an expert, but if I am not wrong, sterile is a type of watch and not the brand, right!? Sorry if this question looks stupid…Puzzled

Sterile is reference to the blank / unbranded dial. They are effectively homage submariners made by different manufacturers.
