Any tip or suggestion? Basically looking for something in good quality but nothing too expensive. Cheers

Can't say I do to be honest. They have been covered fairly extensively on other watch forums though. Do a google search and it should throw up plenty of suggestions.

Few reviews knocking about if you search the brand.

I bought a Parnis a few years back. Was in the bin in 2 months.

Get a Seiko SKJ007 and a few straps. Very versatile. I have one with an interchangeable arabic / english day date. Always gets comments.

However, I always suggest to friends getting into watches that a vintage Tag Heuer (or better still Heuer branded but these sometimes come at a premium now) diver i.e. Heuer 1000 will run you less than 400quid. They're quite accessible since Leo DiCaprio wore one on The Wolf of Wall Street.

How would I get on waiting list for a 116610LV. Just walk into any AD and ask? Can it be sorted over the phone. Excuse my ignorance. Haven't bought a new kettle in over 10 years

Ring or email your local AD. To get put on the waiting list will require a deposit.

Generally don't require a deposit but it has now got to the stage that it is necessary to have a chance of securing the watch. Otherwise for those without a purchase history in the AD you are often forgotten about on the list.

A tip for those passing through Zurich Airport, they don't have a waiting list so often have great stock on the back if you ask. They had the SubLV, SubC and GMT a few weeks ago. The LV wasn't on display but was available for purchase. 15% VAT deducted from the price. Passing through again this weekend so I'll check stock again.

Could've just been lucky but I put myself down for a no date at WoS in Glasgow (no deposit) and had the watch 2 weeks later. I was told that the list was 3 months or more.

Depends on the AD, any in central will quote ridiculous times but when you put your name down you may find people on the list dropping out or the AD was just bullshitting. Further out of London you'll get a shorter list but maybe less frequent deliveries. If no deposit needed no harm putting your name down at a few AD's though.

Didn't realise there was a waiting list in the UK - they have a Hulks in all local AD here in Dallas.

Yeah the DJ41 is so much better proportionally compared to the larger DJ2.
