They want their slice of the booming grey market.

Seems weird as thought they were totally against the grey market and were buying up loads of watches and having them destroyed rwther than let them filter in to the GM…

tens of millions of euros worth if I remember correctly?

Looking to buy a new Rolex sub date and messaged a few AD’s. Seems like the waiting list is insane unless you have a relationship with them.

Anyone bought new from a AD and what was the wait time?

Have you tried the boutique store in Leeds? It's a Preston Rolex and Tudor only store.
It was a couple of years back but I walked in and bought one from stock.

Your best chances are flying a lot or find an AD nearby that doesn't do public waiting lists and go there every day (morning) possible.

Try watches of wales as well. I just got a redline sea dweller, no wait.

Anyone know of any reasonably priced Baby / Mini Ploprofs - 120m / shom out there? Seems like I've been trying TZ since 2013 and the seller always backs out. Most of the re-sellers have them around 2.5k but they were closer 1.2k when I started looking. They generally need a good service too.

Thanks for the help. Was at a AD this weekend that only put you on the waiting list in person, hopefully that helps.

I’ll email the suggested shops, cheers

How come? Looking at getting either one as a day to day watch as i'm bored of my speedy and want to leave my seadweller for 'best'. Look like a lot of watch for the money so interested to hear.

Are you set on new? There's a lot of vintage options in that price range.

It depends how old we are talking. 2-3 years then possible but decades old then no.

@MoB, was a lovely watch but just didn't wear it enough to warrant keeping it. Never got round to getting a winder so when I did wear it, I needed to set time etc.

I don't work in an office anymore (work from home), rarely go anywhere smart and train pretty much every day so wear a Garmin all day every day as I'm more interested in stats from the on-wrist HRM, and notifications for email, incoming calls etc. Got a 25 year old F1 chrono as my 'smart' watch Laughing out loud I'm just not into them anymore tbh.

Weight and size-wise, was perfect imo and as you said, lot of watch for the money.

In that case Zenith is a solid pick. Or IWC, (Grand) Seiko. Or a steel Cartier Tank or Santos?

I got the Black Bay steel last year & it’s become my daily watch. Easy to wear and you get bang for your buck. Don’t have to think about it and has 70hr power reserve.

Despite the ball ache of a waiting list, to those lucky enough to get the new Rolex SS BLRO over the course of the next decade, despite initial claims for Rolex the Oyster bracelet can be interchanged with the jubilee bracelet. White gold owners will be raging.

Edit: Wembley will prob have it in a week.
