I have a 114060 SubC NoDate to shift. Box and all papers, warranty card, and the original receipt included. Normal sign of wear, never serviced and never polished. new is 5450 pounds but the current wait time is about 1-2 years apparently, whereas the preowned one is selling higher than the msrp. i bought it just shy over 4k from an official AD Dec 2015. been offered 4.8k-5k by watchfinder prior to on-site inspection,

good deal? or not? or perhaps offers from fukkers?

(could probably get more if if i go the independent route, but have no experience in selling watches and don't really want the hassle.)

I think 5k is a fair price for a 2015 if going via a reselller like watchfinder. They need their cut even if it will sell very quickly for them. You could go down the independent sale route but obviously that takes a bit longer and brings with it it’s own issues.

Ask yourself if the hassle is worth an extra 250 - 300 quid. If it is then hold out for a private sale. While not as liquid an asset as a Sub C, I have found the private sale route in the past to be a relatively arduous process with plenty of time wasting.

Ask ChronoCash for a quote and push them on price a bit, I found them good to deal with.

Anyone picked up a 36 mm explorer recently? Looking for one with box and papers in good condition. Prices seem to be on the rise as with all Rolexes but not sure if it is just asking prices.

Not recently but 18months ago ish. Prices have increased but not in the same way that subs and GMT have, more noticeable is that there used to be loads on Watchfinder and Chrono24 (UK sellers) but now not so many which suggests people are wanting to hang on to them for now. Great watch!

With the weak pound, wouldn't be surprised if international buyers are snapping them up

I'm thinking of moving my speedmaster pro on and was thinking about trying to shift it on an international forum but would need to do some research on insurance etc.
