So on Monday the winder on my automatic won't pop into the time set position and on the date set position it just winds without any resistance. Shit.

So I let it run down over night and then go to wind and set it on Tuesday and it's completely back to normal. Fingers crossed, can't afford a service. Any idea what could be going wrong? 16610

could be a broken angle lever (rolex ref. 3135-220 for caliber movement: 3130, 3135, 3155, 3175, 3185) goes for around 50€

if it happens again try this: wind the watch -> push the crown back in and screw tight -> screw the crown lose and pop it out -> push it back and then try to set it slowly

if it's the lever it should be not a big deal! it's a simple movement and almost any watchmaker can work on this

Hoping someone on here can help, have somehow knocked the middle gold part off on the end link on my Jubilee strap.

Will I be able to get a genuine replacement part for it, its marked 455B underneath it and think its a separate piece to the actual strap itself?

Yea it’s just an end link, which is a seperate piece.
Just search for the code, should be plenty about.

Can easily be replaced, but will cost a few hundred quid. How did you manage do break it like this? Shocked

Yeah I love a big gas guzzler, not buying into all the electric vehicle hysteria. It’s all a load of tosh.

Selling it soon, probably going for a Panamera next.

Panamera is ace if you don't need three seats in the back although there is a new model (Sport Turismo) with 5 seats (4+1 really) but it's a bit marmite looks wise

Not necessarily. I’d have an issue with Swiss watches too in that case!

Nothing is ever black or white. Unless you’re Michael Jackson I suppose.

Edit: isn’t Jaguar owned by Tata anyway? Aren’t they Indian?
