Looks amazing Nick.

Just got this orange strap through from B&S for one of my bargain finds of the year.

That's really nice. Not seen a Tudor chrono like that before.

NickMSM, mind me asking what sort of discount you got off that? Assuming it was new.

It's not new, 2017 but very lightly worn. Not sure what discount you can get, but dealers seem to be asking 15-20% less than retail for a decent pre owned example.

Scary how careful you have to be, even if you’re a big hitter buying pieces from reputable auction houses:

https://perezcope.com/2018/07/17/vintage-rolex-daytonas-from-hell-at-antiquorum/

A nice article on the same site about a prolific Panerai faker too:

https://perezcope.com/2018/08/13/the-garibaldi-chronicles-part-one/

Some nice tips on his site if you’re a vintage buyer in general; e.g. spotting re-engraved bridges by the higher jewel position relative to the bridge itself, or assembled movements based on the cdg finish not lining up correctly.

I wonder how many get sold for every one he spots.

My next watch will hopefully be an error-proof bubbleback, but they’re quite a rare bird so I may have to wait a while to find a crispy one.

Not an expert but I'd guess you'd be doubling your money.

Gutted I only got into watches fairly recently. Some bargains to be had a few years ago.
