I really like them. Less of an "obvious" choice and have a decent backstory

Same for the milgauss

This is stunning. What else do you have in rotation of you don't mind me asking?

Thanks - I have an Omega 2254, Speedmaster Pro, Explorer, Explorer II and a Sub no date. Usually wear the Explorer and Sub to be honest, hence thinking of letting the rest go and sticking to three watches.

Nice collection, how do you find the AP compares to the rolexes?

It's obviously very different. I wanted something modern on a rubber strap so this was an obvious choice. Build quality wise it's brilliant - the big 3 are definitely a step up from Rolex and this is no exception. The finishing is top notch. The box is stunning too! I'm definitely tempted to go for the 41mm Royal Oak too or possibly a VC overseas.

roophees wrote: Any love for the Explorer 2 on here? See huge demand for SS ones, but not so much for the Explorer, any reason in particular outside of hype why that is?

The Explorer is a very popular watch in collecting circles, particularly the 36mm. I personally prefer the later model which I have and would take it over an Explorer II.

Good to see some AP’s getting love. Pricing is out of my reach for now but would love a 41mm Royal Oak one day. The open worked RO’s are beautiful as well

Some interesting lots from the Antiquorum summer sale (this Sunday)

Bob Marley Milguass

Pocket watches aren’t my bag, but that dial Cool

Underrated ref (5055), I think this is a bargain if it stays within the estimate.

And there is a nice platinum Cartier, but not linking it as I’m gonna go for it Smiling

Don’t think there should be much wait at the moment, they were frequently in shop windows.

This is fucking horrible. What a waste of a decent watch. Not sure how I feel about the tenuous link to Marley either. Weed = Bob / reggae / dub / etc? — god, that's fucking depressing.

Weed leaves on clothing / accessories just makes me think of old Eclipse/Spliffy gear. Like, who cares

Probably the case back engraving that literally says Bob Marley & The Wailers.

I wouldn’t personally wear it, but the ‘fuck you’ factor is there IMO Laughing out loud

I was surprised at how much of a step up a royal oak was from something like a daytona, which is in a similar price bracket and no doubt a beautiful watch but just felt a little flimsy in comparison.

I have been eyeing up a deep stream VC for a few months now, I saw a 47040 with the titanium bezel and loved the contrast, saw one for sale a couple months ago and wasn't sure about the market with covid so passed, but regret it slightly now!
But for a holy trinity watch maker the value is astounding on the grey market when compared with the other 2.

In fairness to a SS Daytona, the Royal Oak at RRPs is nearly twice the price. Does show the Daytona is massively overpriced in the grey market though IMO. I really like the VC 4500V, very classy looking. Also like the YG Daytona above, might go for the rose Daytona on rubber at some point.

been thinking for a while the overseas is massively underappreciated. possible future investment piece, if people catch wind of it and it gets hype
