Wish they released a reasonably priced remake of the 62MAS, probably the nicest diver ever imo. The SLA017 basically, but a cheaper alternative.

One of the best under the radar options out there. How you feel about walking around with £40k on your wrist tho? The weight noticable? Have a platinum wedding ring and wear a WG daytona on rubber sometimes and know these previous metal options are weighty!

not sure you can call any rolex 'under the radar', let alone a solid white gold daydate Laughing out loud

So it's heavy but you get used to it and as for the price, I have insurance and I bought it to wear it you know? I don't really know what else I can think about it. It is actually quite low key as platinum doesn't look like gold IMHO. Plus I got such a great deal on it I couldn't resist trading in a bunch of stuff for a grail piece.

It's quite hard to see the difference with polished steel, even if you know. Especially if they aren't next to each other.

With an older watch you could perhaps tell the difference between white gold and platinum. Personally, I quite like it when manufacturers reserve certain colour dials for their platinum watches, and blue seems especially well suited to this metal given it has a cold tone to it

I like it. I know it ain’t exactly under the radar, but it could be a heck of a lot less under the radar.

Who did you insure it with? Policies on some are a nightmare for over £15k items.
