The previous generation IWC Cousteau is also quite nice.
I second the suggestion of the Tudor as being worthy of consideration

Best place for natos? Hodinkee gush about the Omega ones but I'd rather not pay 140 for one. Can anyone comment on the quality? Want a very simple black nato with good buckles, not the rounded ones you get on the very basic ones.

Thanks the Tudor shout everyone… Tudor designs are just too boring for me; they also don’t really fly under the radar for travel (they look a lot like a Rolex). They’re also nice enough that I probably wouldn’t want to wear one in situations where it might take a knock or two.

Not the biggest fan of that generation of that Aquatimer too; the bezel adjuster on the left just looks a bit nuts / wrong.

I think I’m going to go for the Bulgari, or the new Sinn U50 with red rubber.

Can recommend these. Really nice and well made.

I’ve never really worn a watch but did buy a Rolex 114300 OP39 with white dial a couple of years back on a whim.

Wore it for a couple of months and then fell out of the habit and it’s been in its box ever since.

Was recently thinking about selling it, but as it’s just been discontinued and the model replaced with the new size / colours (I believe it actually ended up being the shortest period a new model has ever been offered), is it worth hanging on to it for a bit longer?

As previously mentioned, not really in to watches but gather traditionally the price on OP’s hasn’t really moved much. Also understand that there are no certainties and it’s all speculation etc, but any help from those more knowledgeable would be much appreciated. Thanks

I am not especially a fan of Bremont dive watches, but that would be another alternative for you to look at.

I actually like that Sinn U50 though, albeit it really doesn't look premium and especially so on that colour strap. Ironically, the 104 looks like it costs more. It has quite a nice, retro design aesthetic

Put my name down for a BB58 after trying it on again.
Still get laughed at in the dealer when trying to get my name down for anything more adventurous that a sub, quite annoying to be fair.
