If you've seen any recently under 10k send the link please!

Yeah that is ridiculous for a sub, you need your head tested if you're paying 17k for a sub when you could have a sky dweller or even a royal oak for the same coin.

Didn’t realise they’d gone up so much, sold mine with full b&p a year or so ago for £8.5k. Wouldn’t have one as a daily though, the polished bezel picks up scratches quite easily and you can’t polish it much before you lose the tachymeter.

Must be one of the people who isn’t a fan of the sky-dweller, think it’s too bulbous.

On a side note my friend got quoted 1-2 years on the new coloured dial OP’s this week!

You need a couple more grand to get a 41mm but can get a 39 or 37mm royal Oak for about £17k or a RO offshore for about 12k. All better options than a sub imo.

Any idea how much a Cellini 4112 should be? It's mint condition but clasp is missing, has box and papers.

I almost impulse bought one of these last week was about £100ish, so cheap but then realised I was about to spend money on more shit that would never get worn. Just cant see it getting any wrist time.

Looks lovely though.

Yeah I couldn't believe it either!

Yeah theyre all the same though my royal oak looked like shit after a year of daily wear and scratches on that look worse imo as its like a satin brushed finish so scratches stick out like a sore thumb and the octagon bezel is a magnet for dings and scratches with its polished and brushed finishes.

Ive seen alot of older Daytonas with the newer bezels on them though, an AD told me they weren't interchangeable but I have seen 2005 etc daytonas with the newer bezels on them so that's always an option.

I like the skydweller, first modern rolex with any sort of complication and the size is perfect for my big hands and being used to a RO.

If you’ve managed to bash up a Royal Oak that much in a year I’d reconsider the Daytona lol. I’ve had my AP RO 8/9 years and it doesn’t look too bad, same finish as my PP Aquanaut and Nautilus and whilst they do pick up some light surface scratches I know they’ll come out easily with a quick refinish. With the Daytona like you said, after some serious scratches you’d need a new bezel which is £££ for a gold one.
I switched My Daytona to the 116519LN with ceramic bezel and don’t worry about it now, perfect daily.

Yeah I love and value my watches but they don't come off my wrist unless im in the gym, I sleep with it on and everything so i expect them to get a bit banged up.

I do like the Ceramic bezel daytona's but unfortunately I don't have any significant rapport with any AD to get one at retail and Im not keen on paying 8k+ over retail.

The white gold daytona is very baller though, sounds like you have a lovely collection.

Will get some pictures up in proper light tomorrow as this pic doesn’t do the dial justice, absolutely love it.
