He has the dog, bairn running around… sounds like he’s on the computer desk in the front room….
think people pay him to restore or just a hobby… he paints a TAG s dial with model paint!

Nice, but anyone else have a hate for roman numeral dials? I just cant get on with them, would look aesthetically so much cleaner with simple indices.

It’s a minor thing but the numerals not lining up with the Swiss Made at 6 o’clock would do my head in. There’s no reason for them not to line up.

@troyboy They’ve written it as IIII to balance the dial. IV wouldn’t balance against VIII. Although again, it’s not balanced at 5 & 7 which is why numerals just don’t look great in a watch.

it's called watchmakers 4 and the IIII give the dial a better symmetry. you can find it on other watches as well such as cartier

The BLNR is a grail of mine, but not sure why they discontinued the oyster version. Still, lovely pickup Cool

Also nice pickup on the John Mayer G-Shock Best - love the colour palette on it. I sadly didn’t see the email until an hour after it dropped. Evil You didn’t happen to pick up a couple of them? Sticking out tongue

I am sure they will reintroduce the oyster bracelet at some point. I personally prefer the current jubilee bracelet looks and comfort wise. I know it takes away the „tool watch“ character for some…

Congrats on the BNLR, lovely watch. Hope your didn’t have to pay over the odds.

On the jubilee vs oyster strap discussion, it’s discussed here from around the 13min mark and the ‘rule’ moving forward https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/rolex-gmt-master-reference-points
