after being slightly underwhelmed with the bb58 i tried on a few weeks ago, I saw this available with a 20% off code and went for it. really pleased with it for £720. the sweep isn't as smooth as my speedy reduced but didn't really expect it to be. nice and easy to set the time/date. rotation of bezel feels a bit cheap but not end of the world. overall finish is very nice though and the dial looks great in the brown/chocolate


.. still yearning for a milgauss but with a wedding to save for and likely house-upsizing in semi-near-future I don't really think it's the best way to spend £6k atm (yes confirmed poor)

Never buy stuff you don’t really want to compensate for something you can’t afford right now. Wont make you happy and you’ll just waste money.

I’m going to sound like a total dick and I don’t mean to be, but I don’t get purchased like that Seiko. £720 is still a lot of money, especially for a watch you clearly don’t love. Just wait and save and buy one watch you love rather than 2 or 3 you can live with.

I’m guilty too. My first proper watch was a speedy. It was fine but sold and bought GMT master 2 and recently the BB58. Wearing the speedy doesn’t come close to how it feels wearing the gmt, for me anyway.
