it is odd but the BB58 felt a tad small/non-remarkable on my wrist. i also really didn't like how the sides of it are such straight edges; just feels like a block of metal. overall, nothing about the blue one made me think WOW when it was on my wrist and therefore not worth the RRP.. they are nice watches for sure, but not for me. might need to try a black one
i posted about this seiko in this thread when it came out in April and again a few months ago. i have always really liked it, but knew I could probably get a better deal than RRP at some point
not a compensation at all. especially not against a milgauss; completely different watches. a real "compensation" would have been going to the AD determined to get a milgauss and walking out with some run of the mill datejust just because you need a rolex
I’m guilty too. My first proper watch was a speedy. It was fine but sold and bought GMT master 2 and recently the BB58. Wearing the speedy doesn’t come close to how it feels wearing the gmt, for me anyway. I’m going to sound like a total dick and I don’t mean to be, but I don’t get purchased like that Seiko. £720 is still a lot of money, especially for a watch you clearly don’t love. Just wait and save and buy one watch you love rather than 2 or 3 you can live with.
again, see above. have never not liked this watch. i think it's cool

Just admit you can’t afford a Rolex mate, Rolex are the best watches by far, everyone knows this you idiot fuk mentality = why even bother buying a watch that only costs a tenth of a rolex
they are cool but to me don't warrant the extra £3k in outlay… completely shocking that i'd rather save/invest that isnt it
hard to fathomWobbly lip

I'll reserve judgement until I see them in person, but from the photos I'd have put the SPB149 as the pick of the lot. Still, it's a decent choice Swede.
If I was in the market for a new watch I'd love one of these, but wouldn't get on with the size of it..
Sinn U50S would be the one for the size measurements I require

Seiko looks nice. How does it compare to the BB58 though?

Never buy stuff you don’t really want to compensate for something you can’t afford right now. Wont make you happy and you’ll just waste money.

should have got the SLA017 rather than the poor mans version

Like it Swede. I feel the same way about the BB58 as you do. It’s like having a hockey puck on your wrist. The insecure boys love that as it makes them feel special having all that metal on the wrist but some people prefer a bit more refinement. Good choice.
Plus, Fudge has offered to pay for it so why not keep it.
Nice gesture, Fudge.

World of luxury eludes swede once again. Been a bad year for everyone tbf
and Jordan's, proper cracking me up Ffs Swede - can’t even outdo Jordan on Seiko - even his said “Grand” before it
