Cheers.

Had this one for a while now.

Just fancied wearing something nice today for the Biden inauguration. I like to wear it on special occasions Smiling

Is that a gold OP or is it the light? I'm looking for a "cheap" yellow gold watch and that's really nice.

It's a 14ct gold OP 34mm from 1969. The 14ct variety like mine had a much more subtle gold look due to a silvery watch face compared to the 18ct all gold looking OPs on sale around the same time with the same movement. I've seen mine sold as "yellow or champagne gold" online before.

Not seen one of those before. Gold looks quite subtle.

Looks great on the strap, did it originally have a solid gold bracelet?

Looks nice - isn’t the strap too small though between lugs?

I believe it may have going by the pics of this one on ebay which is same year but slightly different design.

Mine also has ref# 1002 but can't seem to find it with the pointier hands with a bracelet strap online and as RickRude noticed I could do with a slightly bigger custom fitting strap as not got the OG with it. Prefer a leather strap to steel/gold bracelet with it anyway.

That's lovely Smith.
Loving yours too Anvais, very tempted to chop in my Dynamic against one of those if I can find a decent deal.
Any shops people would particularly recommend for a used Moonwatch?

Got a new strap on the Geneve, Horween one from eBay.

Looking for some advice/suggestions.

I have this style Omega Constellation Quartz which I bought in the 90s. Still have box, papers and receipt.

https://parkersjewellers.co.uk/shop/omega-constellation-quartz-1512-30-00-2/

Last time I had the battery changed by a family hobbyist, he told me it was dirty inside (maybe because I used to leave it on when running?) but didn't clean it and just changed the battery. He has now died so I can't get him to look at it again.

A friend of mine has the female version of this watch and she said it cost c£250 last time she had the watch serviced.

I don't really know much about watches/running costs but that feels excessive for this level of watch.

I'm tempted to sell it but feel would need to get it cleaned and new battery first and also wouldn't want to sell something like this on Ebay due to scammers.

What would be the best route to getting it serviced and then sold and can anyone give me an approx value for it?

Thanks

Crassly worded I agree but I was just trying to rule out anyone saying ask him to take a look at it again.

I think R was joking as in its selfish of him to die leaving your watch broken ! ( or maybe not!! )
