Found a place in Hatton Garden quoting £450, has anyone else used someone before for this?

When you say refurbished - what specifically do you mean? Polish etc? Or is it in need of repair?

There is a guy in Northampton that does it for around £300 iirc. Don’t know him personally - read about it on a forum a while back but assume he’s still in business.

Nicd disco, I tried on one over the weekend for the first time, loved it but found it wore very small due to the slim bezel.

Long shot due to these restrictions at the minute but anyone flown via Schipol recently? Going via there in a few weeks on a return flight and wondered what the stock was like on rolex and tudor at Gassan?

Found a guy in Essex that’s sorting this for me now, will be around £150 + VAT.
Will post up pics as soon as I get it back.

Anyone had any luck with being put on waiting lists for a Rolex with a local AD without having established any previous purchase history with said AD? I'm after the 126000 in turquoise blue (yeah more chance of winning the lotto at this rate) and have emailed my local AD but haven't heard anything back yet… may need to pop instore I guess. Unfortunately, previous local AD before I moved, where I bought one from is no longer an AD for Rolex Cry Not sure what's more surprising, that or the fact it was located in Great Yarmouth Laughing out loud

I went with a friend to help him get a sub last week. He (we) were told "unofficially" that minimum spend was 10k with Rolex to get on even a previously sensible list now.

Was that a WoS branch? Doing some research and read on some forums that they like to play games with new customers. My local AD's ears must've been burning as I've just had a call from them. Asked me to pop into branch to register my interest but warned me the expected wait time is 1-2 years. Cry Nothing to lose I guess apart from my dignity.

Sincerity, persistence, passion.

This AD was the one who sold me my first Rolex. After visiting many ADs in my area (and having horrible experiences) I really connected with my SA. She is a wonderful woman to the core.

I visited the AD a few times since I purchased the watch to get small gifts for family on notable occasions.

I sent pineapples from Maui. I dropped off holiday baskets and bottles of champagne on a few occasions.

And then in August, for my anniversary, my wife gave the go ahead to ask for the Pepsi.

I text my SA and explained why I wanted the Pepsi and what it would mean for me. I specifically said “ I will only ask you this one time. How long do you think I will wait? At least 2 years?”

The response was “shouldn’t be”.

I dropped in to see them because we just got a puppy and they wanted to meet her. So I dropped in with the puppy and bottles of wine.

Fast forward to a week ago.

I brought holiday baskets, champagne, and chocolates for the rest of the team. (Scary story, on the way I was almost in a horrible car accident. Someone was going in reverse on the off ramp I just exited. I had to maneuver and the bottles of champagne broke in my car. I stopped at a liquor store down the street to get replacement bottles.

I purchased some small items for family gifts and left.

Anyway, I never did re-inquire about the watch any time I was there. I genuinely wanted to see how these folks were. They truly are “family” to me.

So the owner called me a few days ago and was very happy to receive the basket and champagne (she wasn’t there when I dropped in”.

Honestly I wish it was satire but the guy has 1000+ posts
