They overproduce their watches and sell them with high discount to their employees (JLC/IWC/VC are all impacted). If you buy it as an investment / with the idea of re-selling it in the future, I don't think it will hold its value well.

It’s incredible to think that there are people into watches now have only ever made money in the hobby and there is now an expectation that if you’re buying a luxury watch you should be able to sell it for more than or only slightly less than what you paid. If you compare it to cars, diamonds, handbags, almost anything else I can think of there is not the same expectation apart from maybe houses.

I bought my overseas for £8K. There’s no way I’d have forked out the £20K list price for it.

It’s scary how low they value stuff and how much stock they still churn through

The best one - a black face 47040. Daily wearer.

After a few months, finally got the bracelet fitted. Took it to the GS Boutique in Knightsbridge but they tried and couldn’t fit it so sent off to their workshop. Got it back a week later with a nice little travel case thrown in for good measure, all free of charge. Fantastic service. Can honestly see myself not wearing (or even buying) another watch for quite some time. Oh and my BB58 Blue is still for sale if anyone’s interested.

recently? Not a bad price for a 47040.

£3.6k offer is taking the piss, how they have the cheek to offer that I have no idea.

Wouldn't say that the first directly owned and operated GS boutique not being able to change a bracelet was good service tbh. Did they say why?

To be fair I’d spend money on watches but can’t do Visvim prices these days. For any jersey products especially I know the margins they’re making even with the specialist dyes must be astronomical. Outside of my work stuff most what I wear is Uniqlo.
