^ really underrated for some reason. Platinum bezel, polished centre links, oyster case… what’s not to love?

Agreed ^ I have the 16628 with the same blue dial and its a stunning thing. They definitely went through a period of being unloved a few years back but seem to have started making a big comeback.

This Japan Racing (2004) has become my favourite Speedy from the few I own. Prices gone a bit mad on them.

Cool

Watching Band of Brothers again and fallen down a rabbit hole of looking into the watches that the soldiers wore. Anyone got an Elgin or Bulova A-11 that were issued to US soldiers from that era?

Was so close to pulling the trigger on a new ref this morning at the airport but am going to do some reading and go vintage.

Timor did a rerelease of their dirty dozen watch, which I almost bought. But, I think a major part of the appeal is the fact a soldier actually wore it pon road/trench

Jacket on the left and it’s rolled up on the right. Obviously.

And what’s the deal with an air freshener? You studying every photo in much detail.

A bit weird.

And Essexbitch turns up as usual with nothing to contribute. Definitely a bit of a nonce.
