Any recommendations for watches for about £1k? Anybody selling? Looking for something with a large face as a gift

Stowa do pilot watches in that price range.

Also, maybe something from Christopher Ward or Farer would be good.

Yeah, I think so… some of these independents are mind blowing for the value for money.. will post up a pic later..

Christopher Ward and Oris are both good shouts. Both share the same case manufacturer so not really a lot in it in terms of quality. Design wise Oris better in my opinion. Some ex Christopher Ward employees (designer and tech head) are now working at H Moser funnily enough.

Ended up getting a second hand tag aquaracer. Thanks all for the recommendations though. Not sure if Tag gets much love here.

By independents I meant smaller brands pumping out 1000-2000 watches per year… but carry on with the eye rolls.

Got a soft spot for Tags, my first watch was a medium size F1, which I still have.
