The Edinburgh store received 4 out of the 11 models today but sold out quickly. It's just a nonsense now. They can't say when more will arrive or even what time they would go on sale at during any given day.

The sales assistant did say that they are ramping up production though and should be online soon.

Online is going to be merely a pipe dream. Will be scalped in an instant. Better chance going in store every day.

Maybe the scalping and re-selling will go on for a couple of months whilst stock is scarce, but this is swatch, a mass produced brand that no doubt will continue to produce these in absurd numbers provided people are still buying them.

I would be very surprised if these are not readily available online via swatch for £207 in 3 to 4 months.

but by that time - the hype will have died down. I almost think they'd have done better making it a hype thing and thats that. Now its a weird limbo - in the end i think they might piss off more people than they expect and its a shame cos (for all the caveats) its a good idea.

Does anyone really need a watch to be the current "hype" piece to buy it? If so you're more than likely a tool and deserve to pay grey market prices and get burnt.

Not sure how it would piss anyone off by getting the watch they want for retail but just having to wait a few months and a great thing for swatch as their profits and brand attention will be up massively.

i think theres a difference between a real investment piece/ serious watch and a bit of "current" fun someone might want to participate in. if one cant see that they're more than likely a tool and deserve a life on rolex ad's endless waiting lists.

i can see totally how constantly telling people an item is arriving soon but it not doing soo would piss people off.

Swatch will want to milk the hype as long as possible so they will only drip feed the store stock for months to come, my guess up until pre-Xmas and that is when they will do a major general release.

Online will be impossible, bots will cop majority of the stock no matter what they do.

They should do raffles but they won't…

I love Alpine Eagle.. If you can still get the titanium high beat 8hz version that's even better .. Mine loses 5 seconds a month !

No because I’d like to see it in person and try it first. The SS isn’t limited though.

Cartier line up is killer this year. I'd love to get the gold Dumont, but it's limited and I don't have 12k to spend on a watch atm.

I was a dickhead, looking at it again it’s pretty terrible. Like a hublot had a baby with an IWC. Think I’ll just try to find a Ingy 3234.

I have a 3227-01 which I may sell, boxed in very good condition, comes with a spare Jacob brown alligator strap too.

They make some beautiful watches but can't see Sayword wearing one. Nor me for that matter. The brands logo bears too much resemblance to the Iron Cross.
