I couldn't be arsed with all that shit. It's put me right off the brand. Think I'd be looking at Zenith, Omega or Glashutte if I was getting a watch for that sort of money.

Same but I’m looking at Grand Seiko and Cartier. Hopefully the Rolex market dropping with general economic upheaval will reverse things a little bit

Hopefully, which I why I'll only buy neo-vintage Rolex, as the hype doesn't effect their pricing really. They are steadily climbing.
Refuse to even bother going into a Rolex store anymore.

A Speedmaster and a Tortue are on my list next.

Had a similar experience at T2 Rolex the other month, glad it's not just me going off the brand. Like others, rather look at other brands where I don't have to pretend to be their best mate to get a watch.

I had a similar experience at Gatwick but not with Rolex, with Tudor - couldn’t believe the shite they came out with

Sadly Tudor is going a similar way with recent releases. The Chrono, new Pelagos and now the Pro.

A friend of mine went in to pick one up this week but having seen it in person he passed with the thickness being the main issue for him. He has the same problem with the bb gmt too but wears the bb58 regularly. He ended up buying the chrono instead.

i thought it wasn't too bad when i tried it on last week. Not for me but the thickness didn't bother me.

Looks ok from the pics I’ve seen too. It did bother me on the Harrods blackbay I used to own but proportions look better on the pro.
It’s probably just due to him preferring the height of the bb58
