Are there any decent deck jackets available that don't use wool or any other animal products in their construction?
Let us know how you get on with that Iron Heart.

Any decent one will most likely use wool of some kind.
Universal Works do a budget one that's poly lined I think.

Universal works one with the cordura outer this year is a really good choice for winter i reckon.

that's fucking horrible, looks like someone stitched 3 jackets together to make one tasteless garment

That Universal Works one looks decent, thanks. I really like the Iron Heart deck also, notwithstanding its being made with animal products.

Yeah but they only shave the little devils dont they?
It's not like they are using the skin.
Alpaca stuff is normally used without harming any animals unless I'm mistaken?

I imagine it depends on the particular farm as to how ethically the animals are treated. They seem several shades better off than your average sheep though.
I do covet a nice alpaca deckhand.

Email Iron Heart. They've been spot on with me about sizing and would put your mind at ease.
They might hand rear llamas and use Alpecin shampoo so the hair grows back thicker.
