I like the star wars vibe, but even on the model it already looks weird.

Safer sticking with classic. Anything with embellishments or strange positioned zips will look shite next year.

This Reiss looks like it could be a good upgrade over the Uniqlo/cos Chesterfield types

After a down vest to wear as a layering piece.

Anyone seen anything interesting about?

Something along these lines but not a zillion pounds

What's the warmest thing I can squeeze between my motorcycle leathers and thermal shirt?

if you mean for insulation while riding rather than fashion statement, you cant beat folded up newspaper. got me through years of winter mornings of me moped.

Bit of a squeeze, but could work. How are they? Does it offer any insulation at all. I have very little experience with down jackets or any type of layering of that kind.

Rather expensive, bit too fragile. Considering merino though. But that seems to be more suitable as a baselayer.

Practical reasons. But I was hoping for something a little less bohemian than that.

That's the point. Surprising amount of insulation in a thin and lightweight package.

you could just look at putting a windproof layer under,(loads exist from outdoor brands) this would not generate warmth, but I assume a lot of the cold is being generated by the wind penetrating your jacket? so the removal of that will increase your comfort . the great thing with these is they are very lightweight.

Just got one of those patagonia's in, but it doesn't fit. Too much of a squeze around the sleeves & chest, shuffles around underneath my leathers. Oh well. Good for skiing and stuff.

Leather is rather windproof, but doesn't insulate very well. Ended up with an aeroloft vest, so far so good. Thanks everyone.

The lack of action in this thread must be testement to the fact that there's not much out there this year.

Canada Goose still the hype coat at the moment?

Yeah fuck all decent out there at the moment for coats. I would love a parka similar to the APC Sibirie parka with a tonal shearling hood liner but nothing like it out there
