Was in the Maha shop last week and was surprised to find that these jackets are all made from the same material (Jap Polyester) as used by Ten C (and Stone Island). Seem well built with taped seems etc. Bargain price considering. Even had matching caps for £25 if that's your bag.

^ I quite like this:

Other than that some of the older season nikelab/nsw/white label goretex jackets sometimes come up on ebay cheap.

Cheers guys. I want something pretty decently waterproof (gore / event etc), jacket rather than coat and understated. May just go for a non-veilance arcteryx or something similar in black.

Need a bit of styling advice, trying to choose a winter coat, budget of £400. Problem is I'm 5'7.5", but stocky, got a broad back and big shoulders so always struggle with getting the right size and fit.

Anyone got any recommendations for a nice winter jacket, should i go down the fitted route, boxy, knee length. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I'm broad and can't really go wrong with the Uniqlo cashmere mix long coat for a winter coat

Or if you want trumpier maybe Acne, Marni etc as the boxier fit will accommodate you better

You sound pretty boxy as it is, i'm not sure a boxy fit is the right way to go

You need to differentiate between coat and jacket.
