Anyone got a lightweight down vest that they rate?

Uniqlo seem good value but i want to wear it under a fitted cycling jacket so I feel its a bit bulky.

Anyone got a Patagonia nano puff?

I've got a Uniqlo one and it isn't that bulky or doesn't seem like it to me. Had a look at that Patagonia one and it looks like it's the same thing to me. Uniqlo one compresses down really tiny - I'd say like coke can size - so could probably be compressed under a fitted jacket easily.

+1 for the Uniqlo down vests… not worth spending the extra coin on anything else, they're ideal.

Cheers Cracka. Contacted Rivet&Hide and they had a small restock - XL should be delivered today!

I feel the same but picked up a thermore piece of theirs from Kafka a few years ago and it's great… Loro Piana wool outer with the thermore lining, insane quality.

Now I see it like the thinking man's stone island: I think outerwear is what they do well. Your coat looks great. Pricing is pretty insane tho.

Really? I've owned a bunch of Aspesi down jackets and some of them weren't that great. Loose stitches, fraying edges, poor material choices, shifting down filling etc.

I'm with you on this…wouldn't ideally go for the brand due to lack of synergy (no Mil) with what I usually wear, but honestly most of their stuff is great and their branding is almost nonexistent.
Top quality, made in Italy or EU, bit of tech everywhere, mixed with classic materials and shapes, that in a way help justifying their pricing.
Was on a bit yay\nay for a while but overcame that and got myself an APECS Camo Jacket, Lambrettone Parka and Vodka Coat over the past few years.

Regarding down jackets, Sodom, imo that's what they do worst…made in China I think and poor quality compared to the rest of their line, but that's what they sell more…

Looking for a (hooded) raincoat, seriously lacking inspiration. Clean and minimal preferred.

Don't mind Stutterheim but everyone and their dog has one of those.

Thoughts?

Have you tried Rains? Similiar vibe to Stutterheim.
