went there with wales, ruff as fuck, getting ripped off every second, lads getting mugged and taken to cashpoints, brasses spiking punters, massive russian firms looking for and finding the 'soul crew'…smashed fuck out of our coaches hotels and most of us!!! not a good place.

Anyone help me out here was having a conversation with my dad today about security in Russia for the world cup(exiting), he reckoned that Russia is a safer place then Spain. He said more trains have been bombed in the last 10 years in Spain then in Russia. I seem to remember there have been lots of bombings on trains in Russia yet i have no proof to back in up.
Anyone confirm whose right?

There were two suicide bomber attacks on the Moscow Metro in March this year, and another couple in February 2004 and August 2004.
The Nevskiy Express (which goes from Moscow to St Petersburg) was bombed in 2007 and 2009. We were on the Nevskiy Express in 2007 two days after the bombing, which focused the mind a little bit, listening for any unusual sounds and looking suspiciously at people. Ended up taking a massive detour because of the hole in the tracks (cool story etc).
There have also been a number of attacks not on trains (not sure if you or your dad are pedants), particular by the Chechens - see here.
