My current England strikers ranking (based on club form and England form):
1. Rooney
2. Defoe
3. Bent (entirely based on club form though)
4. Crouch
5. Heskey
6. C. Cole
7. Agbonlahor
And if Owen gets picked for the world cup because he scores a few goals come the end of the season, it would be unfair on those that helped us get there. Can't see Capello calling him up to be fair though.
Anyone know how many strikers we can take to the World Cup?

A top club team would spank a top International team. They don't have to be proven world beaters, just flying at their club, high on confidence, and the rest will take care of itself. If Bent is the top English Prem goalscorer by the end of the season he should go to the World Cup and be in the starting 11 FACT None of this "good at holding the ball up" Heskey type player bollocks.
I love what Capello has done so far but he is still traditionally very defensive, and hope he doesn't do a Sven with the striker situation.

When Bent was at Charlton he was th top scoring English striker. (Maybe even twice)

Would love to see an x factor stylee boot camp of Capello and Pearce choosing their final World Cup squad and breaking the news on the sofa to those that haven't made it.
Smiling Capello: "I'm sorry David, you haven't made it through"
TV GOLD!!!
