Don't usually like him but I thought he was great today. Won every header, first touch and laying it off to others was perfect. Ledley King was constantly hitting the ball up to him when he ran out of options at the back. Something obviously wasn't right but I don't think the other strikers we have could of done his job today. I can only remember him falling over once as well.
Wish we had a proper striker like Shearer playing

Just me or did Rooney have a pretty average game, expect more from him at this stage. Heskey did exact what Capello asked of him.

Can the commentators not at least try and show some enthusiasm? Every 2 minutes they keep talking about how shit the teams and the match is, not a good game but their cockiness makes me want Algeria to beat England.

1 individual error, better to get it out the way in the group stages I suppose. Still think they'll do well, maybe not win it but they'll be there or thereabouts.
