England should lose on purpose against Costa Rica to wipe the smug look off Suarez's face.

They should send Gerrard home. Watching teams like Chile makes you realise just how little England means to players like him.

Gerard is just an uninspiring individual. He has no qualities for a captain of England for me. He looks so lost. Same for woy.
Baines was good, Rooney played well too IMO, the run at the end was fantastic

Rooney did play well, easy to blame the ugly fucker but he is at the level required. Just disappointing but all in all let's be honest the results don't lie. As a group of players they are not good enough.

No question Rooney played in the #10 position is more effective but for me he comes on from
off the bench with 20 mins to go depending on the score. I would have Sturridge up front solo with creative players playing off him - Sterling, Barkley, Lallana - also I would not start Welbeck on the left, I would have rather opted for the OX

It's a mentality that makes the best teams at the World Cup. We as a nation are on the whole soft, this comes from the apathy and you can trace that back to our welfare system. Poverty breads hunger and desire in the poor, we need to scale back the NHS and welfare state.

rooney had a header from 2 yards out and missed. then another really good chance from 7? that he should have scored.
poor from a 'world class' player.
felt sterling was more effective in central role in his game there than rooney in his.
