Because he has a worldwide reputation?!…

for being good in spits and spurts for his club and for being a bit of a let down for his country?

Barkley offered more in 20 odd minutes than Rooney did all game.

england played great, gash johnson only weak link. shouldn't have brought on wilshere to chase a game, he hasn't quite got the desire right now. sturridge for lambert on 75 minutes to cause more trouble in the box. sterling looked absolutely brilliant. i think criticising anyone but wilshere and gash johnson is harsh, most positive england performance i've seen in so long.

I thought for the players we had on the pitch we played well, have to admit though we were up against a very average Italy side.

Shame the Ox was injured as he'd of done some damage if he had of started, would like to have see Barkley (or even Wilshere) start in place of Wellbeck for Uruguay - if we go out at least we can say we had a go

Hart - did alright but nearly cost us a goal vs Balotelli
Johnson - can't defend and shoots (with his wrong foot!) more than Lampard, out of his depth at this level
Cahill - did ok
Jagielka - impressive, big positive
Baines - poor, don't remember him passing the winger onto Cahill / Jagielka once and didn't get forward
Gerrard - worst player on the pitch, absolute passenger
Henderson - did well in spells considering up against the best trio of central midfielders in the tournament
Wellbeck - one decent run and made a few tackles but contributes fuck all going forwards, the most average player in the squad
Rooney - handed Sturridge a goal on a plate with a world class cross but otherwise poor, played out of position with ridiculous instructions (why wasn't Danny Wellshit doing the left wing back role with Rooney on the right?)
Sterling - our best player for 60 mins until he ran out of steam / Italy worked him out
Sturridge - didn't do a great deal but took his goal well and got into some decent positions so can't fault him

Wright and Dixon in deckchairs on the beach rating the players. End of clip and
Dixon -'right fancy a dip in the sea'
Wright -'no, i dont really swim'.

I never take Shearar's opinion too seriously. Says the obvious but doesn't look under the surface.

He was just ranting the same shit over and over.

i know cashley was a muppet but your going to feel some real pain in the next few years with the left back position think people we realize taking taking cashley for granted …..baines is another glen johnson hes not that defensive mineded gibbs is a sturdy defender and all the champions league he plays has experince just fitness issues but in the words of ronald regan " you aint seen nothing yet "

cashley is a c**t but hes a c**t that can defend ….btw im not a chealsea fan
