How old are you?

BTW Froza 2 demo on marketplace now.

34, why do you want to ask me out?

Bit old for me.

Under 18's are having problems logging in apparently.

Ah sorry I was messing, I thought I had said something particularly childish or something.

Am 24, and registered my xbox with my correct birthdate. Any ideas of how to change this as I couldn't actually find any settings for msn apart from when I initially set it up.

I'll be surprised if you're not soon enough. Seems they're working through and have found a way to detect if you're using a modded 360.

more here.

http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEZAuFAEuAjENKDCMV.php

With the amount of posts we see on our forums … it's clear, Microsoft decided to start banning Xbox360 with modified firmwares today (both Hitachi-LG and Toshiba-Samsung drives).
While it's the same release date as Halo3 beta, it seems that people who didn't download Halo3 also get banned. They could detect the modified FW, changes in FWs or backup-discs … that's not very clear yet and we'll have to find that out in the next few days and weeks.
Even people using the new firmwares with disc-jitter added get banned, so it looks like Microsoft found another way to detect it. However we also see reports of people with modified firmwares that are not banned (yet). Microsoft is known to ban with delay though, so it'll probably take a while before we got a good view on who got banned for what reasons.
Just like on Xbox1 it looks like Microsoft bans the console unique ID (serial), not the LIVE user. Microsoft will not allow anyone to login on LIVE on a banned console.
Many people on the official xbox.com forums also claim they got banned but didn't have a flashed firmware … we'll have to see how that story develops in the coming hours and days

Update: This was just posted on Microsoft's Games Global Marketing team blog:
One of the great things about LIVE and the unified community is that we work hard to create a level playing field for all gamers and have a no tolerance policy towards inappropriate behavior like hacking or cheating. As part of our commitment to our members, we do not allow people that we have detected to have modified their console to connect to LIVE. This is an important part of our efforts to try and maintain a fair gaming environment for the large majority of gamers that play by the rules. This topic is more important than ever given the recent release of the Halo 3 beta. As a result, some consumers that try to login to LIVE who we detect have illegally modified their console will get an error code (Status Code: Z: 8015 - 190D) when trying to connect to the service. These users will not have their account automatically banned from LIVE, but they will no longer be able to access the service from the console they modified.

We have stated in the past that customers can only enjoy access to the Xbox LIVE community through the use of a genuine, unmodified, Xbox console and we will continue to enforce this rule to ensure the integrity of our service, the protection of our partners and the benefits of our users.

right, put together a fix for ppl getting probs with overheated boxes, if it applies to anyone here.. good luck.

360 was fucked, over heating and crashing all the time between 10-20 mins of play. This is what would happen every time:

So I had no warranty and a broke 360 read around could tell my 360 was over heating decided not to fork out any more cash on extra fans or replacement fans. the 12v mod sucks far to loud. the nkyo intercooler is horrible to way to loud. So I thought may as well try my own method for free and if it dont work buy a new 360 so to test it was an overheating problem I removed the fan tunnel from 360 this enables your fans to spin full speed as there is no resistance It didnt crash at all for 3 hours

I decided to cut a part of the fan tunnel enough so that more air could pass through the 360 and out the back but not make it any louder (my 360 is near silent only the dvd rom makes noise)

See pics

this is what is looks like after

So this is how I fixed it been running fine ever since no sign of over heating the console is now slightly warm at the bottom of the back (before it was very hot) no louder than before and the fans push a better amount of air out the back.

If you have a 360 is the same situation as in no warranty and broke try this method you can buy replacement fan tunnels on ebay if you mess up.

Cheers

Only time I use the headset is if I'm playing a mate over Live. It is very geeky and you feel a prat at first but it's a good laugh.

Yeah there is no real need to use it. You can hear what people are saying through your TV if you aren't using the headset. Live on the 360 is really good. Even better if you have a few mates to play against/with. I've got mates in Brum, Nottingham etc who I can play and chat to at the same time as you would if they're in the same room (you know what I mean).

In a lot of cases you play randoms but you create a friends list and can invite them to games so just play agaisnt mates if you want.

I only use the headset if I am playing mates. whenever i play PES there is always some cock whooping and shit down the line…
Gears of War the other night there was some blokes singing which was surreal..

Live is fantastic though, highly recommend.

Nah you dont talk to them. ITs just better than playing against the AI. They do have rankings aswell so you can see how good you are compared to the rest of the world.

When I play Pro Evo theres about 10,000 different people everytime Laughing out loud You never play the same person twice, unless you add them to your "friends" list, so you can choose to play them. You usually just play randoms who are online at the same time as you
