http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/3361944/Xbox-360-Premium-Console-Command-and-Conquer-Bundle/Product.html

this is a proper good deal for people thinking about getting a 360.

On another note, does anyone know if you can buy the guitar controller for guitar heroes 2 on its own?

His is mine isn't. It's not worth the risk of being banned from Live for me. You can pick the new games up for about £30 and they'll sell on a few months later for not much below that. Unless you cant stump up £30 I don't see the point. I got mine for £10 from Blockbuster after trading in another game (Lost Planet).

My old xbox was chipped and I've got about 100 games on DVD's for it… only ever played about 5% of them.

Yeha i am always suspicous of those "sold out" claims, I suspect they were never there at this price to begin with.

"The Xbox 360 is a little closer in terms of its legitimate price point stacked up with the modded one. The basic package, which is very similar to what you get with the Core model here, sells for 19,000 pesos (US$ 402) and comes with just one controller and five pirated games. If you want the total package, you can get the one that sells for 23,000 pesos (US$ 486) where the dealer will gladly give you the unit, two controllers, headsets, 20 games of your choice, a 20GB hard drive, and a dandy cooling fan. The tipster said the pirates are working on a system that will allow owners of bootlegged games to access Xbox Live

More frighteningly, our tipster says some of the dealers of the pirated gear are speculating on establishing a private server that can host a "pirate's mini-Xbox Live environment." The idea may seem a bit ambitious, but similar things have happened before. Hobbyists have been able to establish private servers which host Asian MMORPGs so that users won't have to pay for prepaid subscriptions. Games for both the Xbox 360 and the Wii cost 280 pesos (US$ 5.92) a piece."

http://www.qj.net/Xbox-360-Wii-fall-to-Asian-piracy-PS3-resisting/pg/49/aid/91802

From paragraphs taken from the link, the whole article maybe be PS3 biased. It'll be crazy if it's true that modded xbox can be booted to go live, saying that I'll be very interested in getting one.

You can use 360's on live now with the DVD drive firmware chaged to play back-ups. Matt on here has one and does. saying that they banned a whole load of people for doing so recently based on some checks they could do to see if the drive or disk had been altered. There are however now some new firmware that should mean you wont get banned… for now. It's a cat and mouse game now.

When I play Pro Evo theres about 10,000 different people everytime Laughing out loud You never play the same person twice, unless you add them to your "friends" list, so you can choose to play them. You usually just play randoms who are online at the same time as you
off subject slightly but have had problems with the connection of PES? for w hile I was getting booted and it saying connection to Live had been lost - completely fucked my rankings!!!!

Yeah there is a problem, you get "the connection has been severed" correct? I used to get that a few weeks ago, its stopped now for me though. There was something on the Xbox website about it, saying they are working on the problem and it should be sorted soon

Word, I have 30 games on the 360 now, and must play 2 at most. Though I did get Virtue Tennis 3 today so might give that a go.

And like he said, everyone else who has there machine chipped has pretty much been banned from Xbox Live, I must have got lucky, or they are still hunting me down

Thanks for that, yeah mine seems to have settled down a bit now, still happens once or twice but generally ok. It was such a fucking pain, been in the middle of some real good games and then all of a sudden pow - and each fucking time it shows that I had swicted off and so took the 3-0 hit which leaves me firmly routed in 3c!!!!!

has anyone played forza2 in normal two player mode?
i do have live but am wondering whether to invest in an extra pad as two player mode on forza1 seemed like a bit of an added after-thought..

Played it split screen a fair bit. Its alright. Bit of a pain in the arse because you have to take turns picking your cars, and you have to know what all the tracksare because you can only choose them by name (the same on live though).

that is proper rubbish. fair enough you'll learn the track names in time but even a track map as a visual aid should be there as a minimum. still going to buy it tho..

most of the time on Live you wont be the one choosing the track so doesn't make much difference then.
