no one gives a shit about your shitty 50 year old games, go make a new thread.

Always online - internet connection required once every 24 hours. Also to register games which leads to..
No used games - anyone but the original owner has to pay the RRP for it to be used on another system
No backwards compatibility - no 360 or original Xbox games
Mandatory Kinect - system won't work without it. Voice features/camera unable to be turned off
and
TV features only available for the US at launch
All very anti-consumer. PS4 is looking like the much better option.

Backward compatibility is the main fuck up. I have neither the money or the space to keep the 36o if I were to get the One, and the games I want to play at the moment mean I won't change on the launch. Another plus point for the PS4.

Sony already announced the PS4 wouldn't support backward compatibility either. This is due to switch in the new CPU from the current gen PowerPC architecture. Neither company wanted to do this. If you already own a PS3 or Xbox 360, you will very likely find the space and it won't be costing you any extra to continue playing your current/old favorites, whilst owning a next gen console. You'll just be inconvenienced switching between the two.

Anyone know what the RRP of the machine is likely to be? Or wont we find out until nearer the end of the year?

i have to say, its so funny when the new consoles come out, with all the fanboys taking their sides etc. ignoring all the gimmicks and tv/internet stuff, it'll still do what the 360 will do, but with better graphics for the newer games, thats all i care about. will probably keep the kinect in the box

Looks terrible, will still likely pick one up but not for like 2 years, still got mounds of ps3/360 games I need to complete that I never get round to playing.
Wii U will probably be the first next gen console I get, expect shops will be trying to get rid of them for about £250 with 4/5 games come christmas

there are also rumours that if you have purchased/rented a movie through their online service
kinetic will detect how many users/viewers are in the room if deemed to many the movie will pause and
micro$oft will ask for another payment before resuming the movie.
as far as I'm concerned they can shove their dull looking box up where the sun doesn't shine.
