COS leather weekend bag. Was thinking about a mulberry clipper, this is slightly bigger and it's 175 vs 495…

I actually like this - nice alternative to the Cartiers of the world. But it's not worth the money imo, even if RL are now making 'high end' watches these days.

The price is the prohibiting factor, I agree. There is nothing ugly about it, especially if you are a fan of equestrianism. As far as the movement is concerned, it doesn't get any better than Jaeger Le Coultre.

at best a ladies watch and a bad one at that

about 3 to 4 grand? If you want a good dress watch go buy a nomos or something a bit more interesting.

Ubercool Good guess Dee, however it was meant to be a sports watch for me.. I have a vintage Reverso for more somber occasions.

^need to up your game in sports watches but it's all subjective, that RL is certainly an acquired taste.

I've posted this watch before but I always return to it as a maybe purchase. If I had that kind of funds for a smarter watch it would almost definitely be the Nomos Zurich Weltzeit

GMT, beautiful dial and perfect sized case, in-house movement - stick it on a nice custom made weathered burgundy leather strap and it's perfect (imo).

Nomos watches are great. Understated, which I know won't go down well to some, but really happy with my Tangente.
