It's literally a mental disease*. So happy I'm 'out of the game'.

*unless money is no object. But even then I think I'd rather do something meaningful with that £500 instead of buying some moody tat shoes.

Did you shot all your gear on grailed Jords. Did the losses not grate on you?

Locks did warn you Jordan, once you hit 40 you change.

New era now with insta, you had a good run so can’t complain too much.

Did you go and build a school in a developing country?

Sold most of the tat over time, and partly because it no longer fits.
Arket, COS and ‘qlo quenches my thirst now.
But maybe that’s because I’m poor.

you have to mix up the scandi brands, otherwise you end up looking like a danish fashion blogger

i read an interview with stephan schneider, where he speaks about his 2 grandmothers. the one from germany is buying shoes for 80 Euros at some random high street store and cops new ones every year and the one from belgium has 2 pairs from a local shoemaker is replacing the sole once its worn out. It's a different mentality, none is better than the other, it's just different.
U can appreciate and love a well made product, the craft/art behind it and when u get enough use out of it, xxx quid can be a bargain over the years.
i think the real problem starts when u buy item 'xy' just to have it and don't even use it. Or when u buy into lifestlye 'xy' and don't live it, it'll always be wrong. Context is everything.

I agree, but all fashion is about some kind of lifestyle / aspiration though. Especially if the brand uses advertising.

And whatever you think is cool you still have to dress for occasions as society wishes!

Washing line etiquette dictates that brands face outwards and whenever you're hanging a load out (no Fassbender) you total the amount of wedge hanging there.

When your bird suggests a pre-work quickie but you brush her off because you're getting stuck into the Mr P sale.

Didn't end up buying anything.
