Some serious bargains on eBay going through.
I had a few items set aside to sell myself before this all kicked off, but now thinking there’s no point as no ones buying shit.

Having 100 coats is retarded. Just on a purely rampant consumption basis

Laughing out loud

This is so familiar but you can get through it and you honestly won’t miss the stuff you don’t keep.

The way I did it was to try everything on and get rid of anything where I was not 100% happy with the fit or was a bit meh about.

That got rid of about 10% Laughing out loud

I then grouped by type and colour so for example if you had 3 x olive m65s you can only keep your favourite one. That really cuts into it. You might still end up with 25-30 jackets/coats but it would be an improvement on where you are now.

Good luck!

Nothin wrong with a deep wardrobe. If you're not moving anytime soon and you got the space more is better. Thing is I always miss stuff I get rid of. "Damn I wish I still had that" is a too common emotion in my life. Build your archives.

Do that thing with the clothes hanger where you turn the hooks so all the open sides face you. Over the course of say 6 months whichever ones are in the the wardrobe with the open sides facing the back of the wardrobe you keep and the other you get rid.

Yeah, starting to be a bit ruthless and creating a cull pile. Also going through my vinyl collection (near 10,000) to severely reduce. Not really DJing anymore and got tonnes that haven't been listened to in years. Been great finding some lost favourites though. Set up the decks and teaching the kids how to mix Eye-wink

I did this. Worked well.

Also just got fed of stuff finally clogging the wardrobe up. Shoes under the bed unworn etc. Some slight losses here and there but it frees up cash that can be used on new stuff without feeling guilty.

I think my issue is I'm more interested in the chase/acquisition than owning stuff half the time. Apparently there is a release of endorphins when stuff is ordered and then due to delivered. Then you just want to buy more!

Fraid not. Went down the Vis, Kapital, 45rpm, Real McCoys route, which has been just as expensive in some case! Laughing out loud

I do have a colleague though who has blown most of his inheritance on John Anthony esque stuff.

You gotta get out of that habit. You can get the purchase endorphins with stuff you want to own for a lifetime too.
