How was technology affected society is a good area of discussion
- Talk about how MP3 has affected retail stores such as HMV, Zavvi etc.
- Advancement of medical research
- Technology blurring work and home life (Talk about productivity due to technology in office)
Always give both sides so for MP3s ease of obtaining music and technology in office blurring work and home life talk about access to emails whilst away from office also psychological impact (Stress).
Easily find some stats on that to give credence to your arguments.
Just don't know how you'll be able to fit that into 500 words

Find eight authors that you want to study. Read everything by them. Don't bother with anything else.

Actually fuck it, you only need six for your first term as they'll give you a reading week or two.
Obviously, doing Dickens, Hardy or George Eliot is a dick move in your first term, choose poetry.

Yeah you're pretty fucked then. At least keep in mind that you'll only need to do 3, maybe four decent essays for prep for your end of year exams. You doing middle or old english?

are there any courses in the uk that i can do from my laptop.. just writing dissertations and stuff like that? you know, like bollocks homework every week etc.. rather than sitting in the class ?
